Hi All!

I have been a massive Hanson fan for the last 15 years and am totally inspired by the work they do in trying to combat AIDS & Poverty in Africa.

One of their ventures is a one mile, barefoot walk, of which I've had the privilege to be a part. There are five causes that Hanson walk for including:

Providing shoes to children in Africa
Providing clean water through drilling wells
Building schools
Providing AIDS treatment
Providing access to medical care

Last September I successfully hosted a walk in Gibraltar for shoes and this year I will be walking for water.
For every person that commits to walking with me, Hanson will donate $1 towards drilling wells and providing clean water to children in Africa.
Water is a basic necessity, and will greatly impact the lives of those that have to travel miles in order to find safe, clean water. Preventable diseases, caused by dirty water & poor sanitation, such as diarrhea kills 1.8 million people each year... 90% of those are children under 5.
*Registration will begin at 10.30am in Casemates. Hanson will ONLY donate for the people who have registered! The walk will begin at 11am and from Casemates we will walk up Main Street. We will then turn right down Ragged Staff Road and walk down Queensway making our way back to Casemates through the gates (by Market Place).*

Simple actions, like walking, can and DO change peoples lives.
